Prof. PhD Ivan D. Nikolov, university teacher in the Physics department of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski"
Biography:
Dr. Ivan D. Nikolov is a Professor of Optical and Laser Devices and Methods at the Department of Optics and Spectroscopy, Faculty of Physics, University of Sofia, Bulgaria. He received his MS and Ph.D. degrees from the St. Petersburg Institute of Precision Mechanics and Optics in 1969 and 1981 respectively in Russia. Dr. Nikolov received his Doctor of Sciences (D. Sc.) degree from the Technical University of Sofia in 1992. He has authored more than 75 scientific papers and 60 inventions and patents in the field of optical devices for data recording and information processing, optical metrology and methods, objective lens design and mirror systems, holographic elements and spectral optical configurations, optical memories and nanofocusing heads. He lectures regular students at University of Sofia for specialties “Applied Optics”, “Optical and Laser Devices”, and “Optical Methods for Medicine”.
Dr. I. Nikolov served on the Editorial Boards of the International Journals “Nanotechnology” and “Current Nanoscience”.
He is a member of Optical Society of America, American Academy of Sciences and Institute of Physics, UK (a fellow from 2004).
Dr. Nikolov is working actively at the Bulgarian Physical Union and the Union of Metrologists in Bulgaria.

Neshka Robeva – one of the biggest names in the Bulgarian sport
1966 – 1973 – national competitor for the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics
Vice-champion, has 4 silver and 4 bronze medals.
1974 – 1999 – trainer of the national team of Rhythmic Gymnastics, that has 7 absolute World and 7 European titles. Her “golden” girls have 294 medals: 143 golden, 88 silver and 63 bronze.
Neshka Robeva has many prestigious state awards.
Two times part of the Bulgarian Parliament.
2004 – member of “International association of cinematographists”
Script-writer, choreographer, producer.
